Hounds Beat Centennial, 6-5
|
The Hicksville Hounds did just enough to sneak past the Fort Knox Centennial, 6-5, at Hound Pound. Hicksville pitcher José Carmona, in particular, had a standout performance. Jorge Rosa, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits. Yuk Yan earned save number 2 this season.
Hicksville took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Dylan McKinney stroked a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Hounds.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Fort Knox manager Justin Saginov. "The effort was great."
The Hounds go to 24-27, putting them 6th in the Premier Low A.
