Holmes Delivers Walk-Off Win for Trash Pandas
|
In a low-scoring contest, Watford City pitcher Tony Burgos was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. The win belongs to Eliot Thompson in relief. His record improves to 3-0. John Bell took the loss for Hudsonville. Watford City, at 20-18, holds down third place in the Premier Low A.
The Trash Pandas relied on shortstop Steve Holmes for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the ninth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Burgos said.
