Late Magic Gets Cut Off 7-2 Win
The Cut Off Crawdads topped the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 7-2, in USPL Single A action at Seahwaks Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Cut Off pitcher and San Victor, Dominican Republic, native Ricardo Fernández. Edgardo Fernández, now 5-3, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The loss makes Myrtle Beach 54-39.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, Enrico Morales's at-bat in the top of the ninth was vitally important. With one out, the Cut Off right fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Cut Off manager Manuel Barrios.
