In a tight game between the Maine Sea Dogs and the Hicksville Hounds, pitcher Kojuro Kitakawa was terrific on the mound. The Maine right-hander helped his team to the 3-0 win. Ernie Watts earned the save for Maine, his 2nd of the year. The win leaves Maine with a record of 9-8.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Ernie Watts didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Hicksville trailing 2-0, Watts retired Juan Soto to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Watts, with a wink.
