Caterpillars Suffer 3-2 Setback

Both teams had their chances, but the Athletic Club KC U-24 eventually prevailed.
Athletic Club KC picked up a win at ACKC Youth Field, bumping off the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 3-2. Pitcher Jim Ball was a major reason the U-24 emerged victorious. Zai-shuo Kum notched his 6th save in 9 chances.
Athletic Club KC took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Juan Morales hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring U-24 fans to their feet.
Grand Forks manager Bob Sosa said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
Athletic Club KC is now 27-54, Grand Forks 35-46.
