Trash Pandas Prevail, 3-1, Over Hicksville
|
Watford City pitcher Wayne Bond did his part in helping his team beat the Hicksville Hounds, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Hounds fall to 5-7 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2054 season.
Watford City catcher Vicente Mejía contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Trash Pandas ahead, 2-1.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Watford City manager Luis García.
