Zoomies Fall to Octopi, 4-2

Getting offensive support from Raúl Morales, the Ogallala Octopi topped the Shady Side Zoomies, 4-2. Morales went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Octopi. Alejandro Martínes picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 1-1. The loss lowers the Shady Side record to 3-9.
The Octopi got a big at-bat from first baseman Steef Advocaat. For the game, Advocaat went 2-4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Ogallala a 2-1 lead.
