The Walla Walla Walleye topped the Monroeville Yinzers, 4-3, in USPL Single A action at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Walla Walla pitcher and Laurel, Delaware, native Steve Stevens. Monroeville now has a 6-game losing streak.

Walla Walla used the clutch hitting of David Estes to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Walleye ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Stevens told the Walla Walla Today.
