Seahawks Knock Off Reapers at Seahwaks Stadium

The Grim Reapers went down to defeat to Kel Ellis and his Myrtle Beach teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Seahawks. Ellis went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-3. Paul Montgomery sewed up the save, his 2nd.
José Montés, who is tied for 9th in the PA in RBI with 26, chipped in for Myrtle Beach with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"I like what I saw today," said Myrtle Beach manager Tom Oglander, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The Seahawks move to 31-23 with the win, while the Reapers drop to 32-22.
