The Grand Forks Caterpillars got a good effort from starter Abdul-Haqq Baha in defeating the Lake Erie Arryns at Arryns Ballpark. The final score was 3-1. Getting the save was Micheal Richardson, his 5th. The 7th-place Caterpillars are 21-27.
The result might have been different for Grand Forks, had it not been for Tetsuo Yoshida. The second baseman produced a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Caterpillars ahead, 2-1. For the game, Yoshida had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's not about individual awards," Yoshida told a Grand Forks Today reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
