Late Magic Gets Myrtle Beach 5-3 Win
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks took Lake Erie pitcher César Romero's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Arryns Ballpark. The final score had Myrtle Beach getting past the Arryns, 5-3. Romero went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Edgardo Rivera got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Manuel Liscano picked up the save, his 6th.

Myrtle Beach used a timely hit from Juan Salazar to get the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Seahawks ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Salazar told the Myrtle Beach Daily.

Myrtle Beach is now 17-13.
