Travis Leads Hawks to 5-1 Win over Jets
The Laredo Hawks got a stellar effort from pitcher Sherman Travis, helping Laredo score a win over the visiting Kennesaw Jets, 5-1. The 8th-place Jets have dropped 5 straight games.

Travis, a native of Bryan, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Kennesaw hitters off-balance, while giving the Hawks 7.2 quality innings. Travis threw 108 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 12.
