The Levittown Blue Dragons beat the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 3-1, at The Cave at Levittown. Starting pitcher Ray Spencer was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Michizane Honda recorded the save for Levittown, his 15th of the season. At 48-34, the Blue Dragons are currently third in the Silver A.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Blue Dragons were trailing 1-0. Wayne Hankins delivered a two-out 2-run single for Levittown, catapulting his team into the lead.
"We take it day by day here," said Spencer, "and today was a good one for us."
