Caterpillars Pull Off Thrilling 2-1 Win in Extras
The Grand Forks Caterpillars had to overcome a fine performance from South Beach pitcher Francisco Encarnación to grab a 2-1 win at The Ballpark on the Beach. Encarnación allowed no runs over 7 innings. The defeat makes South Beach 10-2.

Huell Babineaux came through for Grand Forks with a solo home run in the top of the eighth. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 1 RBI.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Bob Sosa, the Grand Forks manager.
