The Delmarva Gallos got a good effort from starter Jesús Sánchez in defeating the Alameda Airmen at The Cage. The final score was 6-2. Wendell Tucker collected save number 4. The Gallos lead the Silver A by 2½ games.

The Gallos got an important contribution from catcher Ken Hooper, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a fastball into left-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Gallos ahead, 4-2.

"No time for posing," said Sánchez. "The next game will be here before you know it."
