Multi-HR Game for Newman in 7-3 Win
|
The South Beach Blaze trumped the Columbia River Rats, 7-3, at The Ballpark on the Beach. South Beach third baseman Robert Newman was terrific. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The loss drops Columbia to 3-5.
Newman had a key at-bat for South Beach early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave South Beach an early 3-0 lead.
"I like the roll we're on," said South Beach manager Vicente Rodríguez.
