The Cage hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The Delmarva Gallos beat the Kennesaw Jets, 2-1, at The Cage. Francis O'Farrell, in particular, was impressive. He threw 6.0 innings of 1-hit ball. Elton Johnson earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 2-1.

Had Richie Wallace not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Wallace hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Gallos.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," O'Farrell said.

With the victory, the Gallos upped their record to 43-24.
