Pike K's 10 En Route to 2-1 Arryns Win
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars inaugurated their 2054 season with a tough 2-1 loss to the Lake Erie Arryns at The Cocoon. Starting Pitcher Zebulon Pike had perhaps the best performance for Lake Erie. John Terry recorded the save for Lake Erie, his 1st of the season.
Pike, the winner, is now 1-0. In 7 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 2 hits, while collecting 10 Ks. He essentially shut down the Grand Forks offense.
"Good to get a win," said Pike, "but it's a long season."
