Roberts Neutralizes Yinzers
|
The 2054 season is off to a good start for the South Beach Blaze. The hometown Blaze knocked off the Monroeville Yinzers, 6-0, at The Ballpark on the Beach. South Beach pitcher Roy Roberts paced his team to the win.
Roberts made it look easy. He scattered 5 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 1-0.
"We had a good game plan," Roberts said, "and we were able to execute it."
