Rover Diggins was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Put-In-Bay Commodores. The left fielder was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles for the Laredo Hawks. Laredo reliever Mark Wood picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Víctor Rivera was saddled with the loss. Éric Lemaire picked up the save for Laredo, his 4th of the year.

Laredo took a 5-4 lead on Paul Wallace's 10th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wallace hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Put-In-Bay pitcher Víctor Rivera visibly frustrated.

"Both teams played hard," said Laredo manager Troy Grant.

Laredo has a record of 32-24, placing them 4th in the Silver A.
