The Eugene Vandals and Delmarva Gallos provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Delmarva Gallos defeated the Eugene Vandals, 4-3, in USSL Single A action at The Riot Zone. Delmarva pitcher José Peña had a standout performance. Ted Elkins earned the save, his 5th, for the Gallos.

Vincent Michel hit a run-scoring triple off Yoshitaka Shinohara in the top of the fourth, which put the Gallos in front, 2-1. Michel had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"I like the roll we're on," said Delmarva manager Jorge Baca.

Delmarva is 32-19 and Eugene, with the loss, 23-28.
