Vandals Get One-Run Win at Alameda
|
Brett Taylor made an impact in the 5-4 Eugene win over Alameda. Taylor, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2051 draft, went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Juan Galván got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Chris Evans was credited with the save for Eugene, his 15th of the season.
Júlio Ortega came through for the Vandals in the top of the fourth inning. With Eugene leading 2-0, the right fielder had a run-scoring walk.
