The Delmarva Gallos took Kennesaw pitcher Ramón Martínez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Cage. The final score had Delmarva getting past the Jets, 4-3. Martínez went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 7. Reliever Carlos Valtierra picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Reggie Townshend took the loss. With the win over Kennesaw, the Gallos improved to 25-17.

The Gallos were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Lars Jansen turned a first pitch fastball from Reggie Townshend into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the The Cage denizens and sent the Gallos home with a thrilling 4-3 win.

"Both teams played hard," said Delmarva manager Jorge Baca.
