Tight Tilt Goes to Gallos, 4-3
|
Delmarva pitcher Jesús Sánchez did his part in helping his team beat the Levittown Blue Dragons, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 5.2 innings, Sánchez surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The defeat makes Levittown 13-6.
Delmarva used the bat of Phil Parks to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Gallos ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Levittown manager Sal Haynes, "let me know."
