Caldwell Stymied by Kennesaw, 2-1
|
The Kennesaw Jets knocked off the Caldwell Chiefs, 2-1, at Jets Stadium. Chris Robbins was a big reason Kennesaw won. The pitcher threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Caldwell drops to 5-6.
With Kennesaw leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Eduardo Gonzáles hit a run-scoring single off Caldwell pitcher Andy Roberson. It put the Jets ahead 2-0.
"Tough loss," said Caldwell manager Dan Fletcher. "But we'll learn from it."
