Bulls Deal Gallos 3-1 Setback
|
Belleville Field was the site of a tense game between the Delmarva Gallos and Belleville Bulls.
Belleville beat Delmarva on the strength of starter Casper Trout's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Trout went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 2-0. Scott White was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
John Nelson broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Bulls in front, 2-1. For the game, Nelson drove in one run.
Trout called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
