Idaho Falls Chukars starter Ernest Morales turned in a top-notch performance against the Chicago Tula at Ramblers Ballpark. The result was a win for the Chukars, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Morales, now 12-2. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. With the win, Idaho Falls raised its record to 62-29.

Ian Gray, the 22-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gray contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Idaho Falls up, 2-1.

"I liked his command," said Idaho Falls manager Will Thomas. "Ernest was throwing strikes."
