Godfathers Lose By a Run at Huntington, 3-2
|
Huntington and Pontiac duked it out and the Hermit Crabs came out victorious.
The Huntington Hermit Crabs beat the Pontiac Godfathers, 3-2. Huntington pitcher and Freeport, Bahamas, native Ronald Hensball led the way. The Hermit Crabs have an impressive 55-33 record.
Had Arturo Piña not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Piña hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Hermit Crabs.
Hensball said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
