Mancelona third baseman Ronnie Pendley picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Yucca Valley Yellows, 7-6. The Torch improved to 27-57.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the 12th, Mark Ackerman had a chance to end it. Yucca Valley pitcher Desi Keller had other ideas. But with no outs, Ackerman hit a sacrifice fly. The Torch had the win.

"It was terrific getting this win," Ackerman said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
