Manatees Handle Hermit Crabs, 4-0
|
Roger Marshall pitched well, but his team, the Huntington Hermit Crabs, still dropped a 4-0 decision to the Matlacha Manatees at The Shell. Matlacha pitcher Ijsbert Pelikaan got the win. He's now 2-3. Roger Marshall was tagged with the loss. The Manatees sit in 11th place in the Menard's A with a record of 26-54.
Miguel Ayaly had an important at-bat with two out in the top of the fourth, when he hit a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season put Matlacha on top, 2-0.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Manatees manager Peter Williams. "This one was nice to get."
