The Rocky Mountain Vibes had to overcome a good performance from Chicago pitcher Mike Joseph to claim a 3-1 win at Bellevue Field. Joseph went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The win puts Rocky Mountain at 44-34 this season.
Rocky Mountain won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With no outs and Ernest Goodman on the mound for Chicago, second baseman Jesse Haas hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Vibes fans to their feet.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Chicago manager John Sirica.
