Huntington Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Stan Harrell pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Niagara Falls Expos, despite Harrell's fine outing, dropped a 3-1 decision to the Huntington Hermit Crabs at The Shell. Huntington reliever Logan Wrighton was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Stan Harrell took the loss. The Expos, now 29-43, have lost 4 straight.
Huntington won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Miguel Martínez on the mound for Niagara Falls, pinch hitter Clark Martin hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Hermit Crabs fans to their feet.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Martin after the game.
