Streaking Hermit Crabs Win Another One, 9-2
|
Ricardo Ávila was superb against Niagara Falls. The right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the 3A in saves with 9, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Hermit Crabs victory. The score was 9-2. In 7.2 innings, Ávila surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. The second-place Hermit Crabs have won 8 consecutive games.
Jackie Daytona, the 24-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Daytona contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Huntington up, 5-2.
