Idaho Falls got a valiant performance from pitcher Jaime Delegorsa, but it wasn't enough to beat the Washington Generals. Washington won the game, 4-3. Delegorsa threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Washington reliever Lou Wright picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jesús Pérez took the loss. At 34-19, Washington is in second place in the Menard's A.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Martín González came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Idaho Falls pitcher Jesús Pérez, he hit a full count curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Washington on top, 4-3.
After the game, Washington manager Nathan Horton applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
