Herons Earn 4-3 Win Versus Yellows
The Holy City Herons had to overcome a fine effort from Yucca Valley pitcher Desi Keller to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Keller went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win was credited to Lucas Dean in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Dave Froley took the loss. Joe Adams closed it out for his 3rd save.

Holy City used the timely hitting of Bob Stewart to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Herons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Stewart told the Holy City Daily.

Holy City, at 26-17, occupies third place in the Menard's A.
