Bush Pilots Handled by Holy City, 4-2

Holy City played host to Alaskan at Mango Yard.
The Holy City Herons beat the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 4-2. Holy City pitcher and Pittsburg, Texas, native Al Leonard led the way. Raúl Salinas earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Joe Adams was credited with the save for Holy City, his 2nd of the season.
Folkert Eikelenboom, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Carlos Muñóz for a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put Holy City in front, 4-2.
After the game, Holy City manager Júlio González applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The 4th-place Herons sport a record of 18-15.
