Takakazu Ishihara pitched well, but his team, the Alaskan Bush Pilots, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Mancelona Torch at Torch Field. Eugene Blake got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Torch sit in 11th place in the Menard's A with a record of 12-18.

In the bottom of the sixth, Francisco Guerrero delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Mancelona shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Torch in front, 3-2.

Guerrero said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
