The Billings Polar Bears and Crescent City Krewe obliged fans looking for a good time.

The Billings Polar Bears did just enough to sneak past the Crescent City Krewe, 5-4, at The Igloo. Billings pitcher Jake Walker, in particular, had a standout performance. Richard Kinmont closed it out for his 6th save.

Tied up with the Krewe in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Polar Bears got a boost from catcher Mark Howell. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Howell saw a 1-0 circle change from Ramón Marte and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Billings on top, 1-0.

"Jake -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Polar Bears manager Steve Ferguson. "He was the key to us winning."

The Polar Bears now have a record of 26-73.
