The first-place Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up another win.

Gustavo Carrillo pitched a masterpiece in helping Mercer Island triumph over the Billings Polar Bears, 8-1. The losses continue to mount for Billings, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

Carrillo subdued the Billings offense. The Mercer Island right-hander allowed a mere 1 hit over 8 innings, while fanning 10. His season record goes to 4-1 with the win.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Screaming Eagles manager Ricardo Vargas.
