Carrillo Powers Thunder Hawks to 7-5 Win
Norberto Carrillo was a major contributor to the 7-5 Ft. Polk South win over Squirrel Hill. The Thunder Hawks first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Héctor García earned the win for Ft. Polk South. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 9-11. The save went to Sergio Rocha, number 2 for him.

With Ft. Polk South leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Carrillo hit a 2-run single off Squirrel Hill hurler Luis Romero. It was the 93rd hit of the season for Carrillo and put his team ahead, 6-0.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Carrillo, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
