Bush Pilots Beat Expos, 4-1
|
The Alaskan Bush Pilots defeated the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-1, in M3L Single A action at Bush Pilots Park. Alaskan pitcher Emin Mardin had a standout performance. Earning his 4th save of the year was Eric Cummings. The Bush Pilots move to 9-14 with the win, while the Expos drop to 11-12.
In the top of the eighth, Andrew Carlson stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Expos were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Allen Warm made a terrific pitch and Carlson struck out. Gone was the dream of a Niagara Falls comeback.
