The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 9-2, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. The game was highlighted by the performance of Squirrel Hill left fielder Jacob Cox. Picking up the win was Bill Bray. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 3 and walked 2. Squirrel Hill is now 51-43, while Ft. Polk South is 41-53.

Ryan Buggs helped out the Squirrel Hill cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.

"Feels good to get the job done," Buggs said after the game.
