Krewe Improve to 56-37 with 3-2 Win
|
The Crescent City Krewe defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 3-2, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Krewe. Crescent City pitcher Juan González had a standout performance. González went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-2. Jack MacAlonie got the save, his 12th in 14 chances.
Umberto Bartelen chipped in for Crescent City with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Crescent City manager David Martínez.
The second-place Krewe are now 56-37, the Screaming Eagles 64-29.
