The Ithaca Fighting Imps defeated the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 4-1, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. Ithaca pitcher Millard Clement had a standout performance. Denny Schneider earned his 27th save in 34 chances. The win puts Ithaca at 50-41 this season.

Jamie Hunter, the 26-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hunter contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Ithaca up, 1-0.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hunter.
