Starting pitcher Chris Morris pitched well enough to help the Pontiac Godfathers beat the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 5-4. The 11th-place Bush Pilots have dropped 4 straight games.

The Godfathers got a big boost from left fielder David Sterling who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth inning off Bush Pilots hurler Takakazu Ishihara. It was his 3rd RBI of the season and put Pontiac on top, 1-0.
