The Yucca Valley Yellows wiggled past the Mancelona Torch, 4-3, at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. The win was highlighted by the performance of Yucca Valley pitcher John Peterson. Yucca Valley reliever Dave Froley picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Max Meltdown was saddled with the loss. The Yellows are off to an underwhelming start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 8th win in 19 games.

Amennay Usiku won the game for Yucca Valley when homered off Max Meltdown in the bottom of the tenth.

In postgame comments, Usiku said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
