Norberto Carrillo had a good game, but he could not keep the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks from falling, 10-6, to the Squirrel Hill Pierogis at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The Ft. Polk South shortstop was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 in the loss. Squirrel Hill reliever Jake Baird picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Mazhar Saglam took the loss. Cristo Bermúdez earned the save, his 1st, for the Pierogis.

José Campos broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Pierogis in front, 6-5. For the game, Campos was 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Campos told the Squirrel Hill Chronicle. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."

With the victory, the Pierogis upped their record to 42-33.
