The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Petersburg Thunder and Squirrel Hill Pierogis get after it.

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis downed the St. Petersburg Thunder, 6-4, at Field of the Rawhides. Arnie McKnight led the way, going 4-for-5 for Squirrel Hill. Bill Bray was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 1 strikeout. The save was credited to Laionela Pualani, his 10th.

Grant Hahn, who is tied for 5th in the PAA with a .307 batting average, aided the Squirrel Hill cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 3 with a triple and a double.
