Holy City Gets 3-2 Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Holy City Herons and the Huntington Hermit Crabs, pitcher Henry Larson was the difference between victory and defeat. The Holy City right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Herons win. The winning pitcher was Larson, now 1-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Miguel Hernández recorded his 3rd save for Holy City.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jim Williams? The Holy City third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Herons on top, 1-0. For the game, Williams had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Every loss hurts," said Huntington manager Rodrige Margalha. "But this was a tough one."
