Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Crescent City Krewe and Asheville Highlanders.

The Crescent City Krewe picked up a win at Asheville Park, taking down the Asheville Highlanders, 5-3. Starting pitcher Juan González was a big reason why. Crescent City has a record of 44-21, placing them second in the Premier AA.

Crescent City used a timely hit from Umberto Bartelen to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Krewe ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Bartelen.
